Passengers face queues at Stansted Airport

Passengers at Stansted Airport have complained of long queues at passport control on Friday night.

The news emerged as delays at Heathrow Airport have been causing increasing concern as the London Olympics 2012 approaches.

The Government has announced plans to draft in 80 extra staff to work this month in a bid to relieve some of the queues that passengers are facing at border control.

Meanwhile Stansted has revealed their queues reported on Friday night were not a one-off incident and were an ‘ongoing problem’

Theresa May, Home Secretary said the Stansted issue would be looked at, but Heathrow Airport was the “key” focus, according to reports.
