Media One Hotel, located in the bustling Media City district of Dubai, is set to open its doors in October of this year promising guests a refreshingly new hotel experience. The property has been designed with the savvy business traveller in mind, and particularly those seeking style, comfort and smart service. Given its location, Media One Hotel also aims to become the ultimate trendy hang out for professionals based in and around Media City.
Speaking about the hotel’s October opening, Cora De Conceicao-Stuart, General Manager of Media One Hotel, said: “We are all incredibly excited about our imminent opening. The whole team is driven by a tremendous amount of energy and passion, and the speed with which preparations are coming along is truly remarkable. It is also important for us to recognise and thank the authorities for their unwavering support and encouragement, most notably the Dubai Municipality, Dubai Police, DTCM and TECOM.”
Positioned amid city landmarks and bustling corporate head quarters, Media One Hotel is an upscale four-star property that blends modern architecture with an innovative design, creating a fresh and funky retreat. The stylish urban property is set to provide an innovative approach to hospitality.
The Media One building is a mixed use development comprising a hotel and offices. The hotel occupies the first 23 floors of the 43 story tower and will offer 260 guest rooms, a collection of cafes, bars and restaurants, a gym, outdoor pool and terrace. It will also house a fully equipped business centre, seven meeting rooms, a selection of retail outlets, a spacious lobby and ample parking. The upper 20 floors of the property will be devoted to offices, which will be accessible through a dedicated entrance and lobby area. In addition, the offices will have easy access to the hotel services.
De Conceicao-Stuart added: “Trendy, inspiring and fun - this is what Media One Hotel stands for. From the various quirky design elements through to the unique guest service we will offer, it’s all about being young, vibrant and stylish in everything we do. Media One will be a hotel with a difference - a hotel with an edge.”
She continued to explain that the hotels approach has been based on delivering what guests need not what traditional hoteliers think they want. The positioning of the hotel is firmly based on its ‘Go Beyond’ philosophy, and whether it be in terms of style, comfort or service, the premise is to go further than ever in an effort to continuously surprise and delight guests.
Talking about the hotel’s core business, Richard Senior, Director of Sales and Marketing, said: “Media One Hotel will be dedicated to professionals based in Dubai Media City, as well as the surrounding areas of Dubai Internet City, Knowledge Village, Jebel Ali and Al Barsha. We will be a predominantly corporate focused hotel and anticipate that the majority of our business will come from the firms found in and around Media City.”
To complement the lifestyle of its clientele and location, a lounge-style terrace bar is set to become the destination for after work drinks and weekend fun. The hotel will also boast a Mediterranean inspired restaurant on the eighth floor, in addition to a stylish chill out café in the main lobby.
Senior added: “We are confident that the hotel’s bars and restaurants will become hip and trendy spots for the fast moving, creative and cutting edge crowd based in Media City. It’s easy to envisage the cool and stylishly designed spaces being used as a regular hang out, whether it be for business dealings or as an after work chill out zone.”
