Jamaica Travel Market set for debut in September

Jamaica Travel Market set for debut in September

For the first time, the Jamaica Tourist Board will host the destination’s own tradeshow, Jamaica Travel Market, on the September 29th-30th at the Luton Hoo Hotel, Golf & Spa.

The event will provide the ideal business-to-business platform for British tour operators and agents to meet with Jamaican suppliers and partners directly.

Jamaica’s newly elected minister of tourism Edmund Bartlett and the director of tourism Paul Pennicook will take the opportunity to meet with top tour operators in the UK to share exciting resort developments and new offerings.

“We’ve enjoyed having a large presence at World Travel Market for many years but are looking forward to launching our own tradeshow.

“Jamaica is doing better than ever and has a big story to tell.

“We want to bring partners together, share news around developments, outline our pillars of success, and contract business for 2016 and beyond,” said Pennicook.

The event is focused solely on the island.

The Jamaica Travel Market will offer a chance for buyers, planners, suppliers and agents to meet, partake in workshops, enjoy a gala dinner, cocktail reception and awards ceremony.

Separately, the JTB is also organising a luxury event on September 27th at the Chester Grosvenor Hotel.

This will focus on Jamaica’s most unique, top-end hotels and resorts, and include an update for luxury partners on the latest news.
