ITB Virtual Market Place – now an even easier way to perfectly organise your visit to the fair

All information on exhibitors at ITB Berlin are now online - quicker and easier access to every page - Virtual Market Place with a new layout, revised navigation and extra functions

With an annual total of more than 560,000 visitors and 14 million page hits the Virtual Market Place is one of the most popular links under www.itb-berlin.de. These interactive services provide comprehensive information and communication for exhibitors, trade visitors and journalists. As of now all new exhibitor data will appear online. This industry portal boasts a new layout, a vast array of extra functions and improved navigation. David Ruetz, Senior Manager ITB Berlin: “The latest relaunch supports the ongoing development of an internet portal which, since its inception in January 2002, has been continuously adapted to suit the market situation and the ever-growing needs of internet users. Particular attention was paid to fine-tuning the networking tool.”

Easier navigation and registration mean that it is now even quicker and easier for trade fair visitors to obtain the desired information and to perfectly organise their stay in Berlin. Among other changes, the search function has been improved and now offers input suggestions in the data entry field. A transparent filter function limits the number of search results, if required. A pinpoint search for data on the internet is also made easier by displaying results using larger images and by making only few clicks. Planning is assisted with the help of a clearly structured column listing exhibitors, products, services, networking partners and dates. A new printing dialogue reduces costs and protects the environment. It lets users print only the data they require, for instance to-do lists with a plan of the halls and grounds. Newly structured data input fields make the process of communicating with exhibitors quicker and less complicated. With the help of the improved diary function visitors can now make on-the-spot appointments, without registering, directly with exhibitors and networking partners in the run up to ITB Berlin, enabling them to organise their tour online and ahead of the event.

The Virtual Market Place is open 365 days a year. With this service, the world’s leading travel trade show offers interested audiences a marketing portal where they can always find out about exhibitors’ latest products and services outside the opening times of ITB Berlin and establish direct contact with the companies in question. What is more, use of additional SPAM protection (by Captcha code) ensures that this information and communication platform is secure.
