EIBTM in tech focus

A look at how future conferences and meetings will be run and how social technology and services are going to re-shape attendees experiences at events, will be part of a new live and dynamic feature area on the show floor at this year’s EIBTM 29 November to 1st December 2011.

Partnering with global meetings architecture consultants SyncPartners Ltd to create a “future playground” , a unique space on the EIBTM show-floor will showcase the use of innovative technologies and services. The EIBTM Future Events Experience will be divided into 4 areas with a main stage for speakers on technology, a live demonstration area for exhibitor products featured in the Technology & Events Village, a networking area and the “Chance2Speak” Corner for EIBTM delegates to have their say on a hot industry topics.

“Bringing all technologies together is not an easy task” says Adi Ben-Nesher, SyncPartners’ Managing Director, “Our goal was to create a collaborative environment that simulates an event which can then operate as a template for other event organisers to learn from”.

One of the innovative platform technologies that was chosen as part of this showcase is Newtonstrand’s “Chance2Speak” (www.newtonstrand.com). This web platform empowers every delegate to become a speaker at an event, sharing his ideas and thoughts with the crowd. These topics are then offered to the other attendees to choose from as part of their delegate package.

“The changing world we are all living in is being re-shaped every day by emerging technologies that connect and engage individuals all over the world to contribute, share, express anddebate. Social networks and media sharing sites affect the way businesses are run today, and that change has its impact on the event industry. We have this year created a look at the future with this new abstract and live area of the show floor”. Commented Graeme Barnett, EIBTM Exhibition Director.
