Egis to provide safety support for FAB Europe Central

The FABEC project is building a functional airspace block (FAB) in line with the European single sky initiative. Its creation will set the scene for air traffic management between France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

FABEC will lead to greater harmony in airspace management within the six member states, greater coordination between civilian and military air traffic management and enhanced performance of air navigation in the heart of Europe.

Egis through its air transport consulting & engineering subsidiary Egis Avia, will provide FABEC with safety expertise in support of the different task forces (TF), working groups and project managers of the FABEC programme.

Egis will take an active role in the safety activities of the different projects conducted by the FABEC task forces. This assistance will mainly cover operational and technical matters such as airspace design and surveillance architecture.
