Dusit International has appointed Jiri Kobos as vice president, operations with immediate affect.

A 30-year industry veteran, Kobos has held senior management positions in Africa, Europe and Asia, including ten years with Hyatt Corporation Worldwide, prior to joining Dusit International as managing director and general manager of the 440-room Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo in 2010.

In this new role, he has the accountability for the performance of all properties in Dusit’s global portfolio including properties under development.

“Jiri has proven to be an outstanding leader during his tenure at Dusit Thani Lakeview Cairo and is a seasoned hotelier with a proven track record,” said Dusit International chief executive, Khun Chanin Donavanik.

“During this period of strong growth and expansion at Dusit International we are delighted to welcome Jiri to the corporate team and look forward to his continued contributions and insights.”

Dusit International was nominated as Asia’s Leading Hotel Brand by the World Travel Awards earlier this year.
