Lodging.com’s Affiliate Program Lures Travel Sites into New Partnerships

BOCA RATON, Fla., Lodging.com today announced that more than one hundred e-commerce companies have joined its hotel reservation affiliate program since Labor Day. The new signups make Lodging.com the fastest growing hotel affiliate program online today. New members include: Southbeach.com, Arizona.com, Virginia.com and Florida.com.
``This is the most aggressive, flexible affiliate program in the hotel reservation market,’’ said Edward Silver, Lodging.com’s Vice President of Technology. ``We offer higher commissions, destination content and revenue tracking systems that make it easy for any size business to successfully offer hotel reservations to their customers.’’
Lodging.com’s aggressive new program is luring many travel Web sites away from traditional hotel suppliers who don’t offer content and have strict and inflexible commission payment plans. By using Lodging.com, a travel website has a turnkey resource for building out a consumer friendly website filled with booking capabilities.
``We spent a lot of time speaking with companies that offer hotel reservations and most of them are frustrated with their current set of options,’’ said Mike Nadboy, Lodging.com’s Director of Business Development. ``This program is a combination of everything people told us they wanted in an affiliate program.’‘
In addition to the benefits listed above, Lodging.com offers the ability to select specific hotel properties and provides a tiered system with access to more than 40,000 lodging properties.
The effort is already beginning to show results.
``Based upon early reports, we estimate that the program will continue this same rate of growth through the end of 2000, ‘’ said Silver. ``The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and we are getting inquiries from e-commerce companies every day.’‘
