Vail Resorts, along with Datalex Software, announced their joint venture in a new travel booking sys

Vail Resorts, along with Datalex Software, announced their joint venture in a new travel booking system to be implemented at Vail Resorts in 2001. The technology will fall under a new, separate company wholly owned by Datalex and Vail Resorts. The reservations system, with its personalization features, will make it easier for skiers and leisure travelers to book all-inclusive winter vacations and should catch the attention of not only the ski community, but the hospitality industry overall. The product will provide Internet and Call Center booking capabilities similar to that of the airline industry - an area Datalex already possesses a stronghold in.
Adam Aron, Chairman and CEO of Vail Resorts, sees the capabilities quickly moving beyond Vail’s own reservations system. He noted all travelers are increasingly Internet savvy and have put the pressure on for this next level of sophistication in vacation planning. All of Vail’s premier resort properties: Beaver Creek, Vail, Breckenridge Ski Resort, Keystone and Grand Teton Lodge Company will be using the full, a la carte vacation packaging with personalization features by the summer of 2001.
