Dreamticket.com Taps Pegasus Solutions for Internet Hotel Bookings

DALLAS and London - Pegasus Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: PEGS) today announced it has signed an agreement with United Kingdom-based Dreamticket.com to power its online hotel bookings. As a result, Dreamticket.com can offer its customers a choice of more than 37,000 hotels in more than 200 countries. Dreamticket.com is an independent on-line travel agency. Dallas-based Pegasus Solutions is a leading provider of hotel industry transaction processing solutions and electronic commerce services.
This agreement will allow users of Dreamticket.com to select and book accommodations on-line by providing direct access to the central reservation systems (CRS) of the hotels represented in Pegasus Solution`s Online Distribution Database, ranging from luxurious five-star hotels to independent family-run properties. Dreamticket.com customers can view detailed property information, rates and photos, and secure instant real-time reservations 24 hours a day at more than 37,000 hotels around the world.
In addition, Dreamticket.com has been chosen by Virgin.com to power its Internet travel channel.
. According to Dreamticket.com, it is expected to supply the technology, product and fulfillment for Virgin.com`s travel section beginning later this year. Dreamticket.com is also a preferred supplier on the shopping channel of the U. K. Barclaycard credit card Web site at www.barclaycard.co.uk. Through its agreement with Dreamticket.com, Pegasus Solutions will be powering the hotel booking capabilities of both of these sites.
“Dreamticket.com`s independence in offering package holidays, insurance, flight-only travel options and now hotel options should make it a popular online destination for British travelers,” said Gideon Dean, senior vice-president of Pegasus Solutions` worldwide sales and account management group. “We have added several thousand more properties to our Online Distribution Database this year and Dreamticket.com`s customers should find all their tastes catered to.”
Jo Rzymowska, commercial director for Dreamticket.com, said, “We`ve spent time searching for the right aggregated hotel supplier and one that shares the same commitment to customer service as we do. In offering our customers such a wide range of hotel choices, we believe Pegasus Solutions is a perfect match.”
According to Dreamticket.com, it intends to roll out regionalized versions of its site across Europe to include Germany, Sweden, Norway, Holland, France, Italy and Spain. These regionalized sites will be in the local language, providing content tailored for that specific country.
According to industry analyst Forrester Research, online hotel sales are expected to grow to $5.7 billion in 2004.
