Cape Grace Storm Ahead with Sales Figures

Cape Grace, Cape Townå‘s premier luxury hotel located on the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront have exceeded all expectations of a slow-down in tourism with record bookings last year and sales up 112% on 2000/01.  In particular, sales in the last six months (peak season) have been phenomenal with occupancy at around 80%.

Cape Grace has seen their peak season extend from the usual months of November to February, to the months of October to April, due to the introduction of innovative short-break packages, such as å‘Celebrate Lifeå’ and å‘Balanced Lifestyleå’ amongst others.  The availability of extended weekend packages are proving popular for Cape Grace during the traditionally low season months.

UK agents are urged to reserve early for rooms in the 2002 peak season, as bookings are already looking positive.  Cape Grace has experienced an increase in UK visitors since September last year and with the exchange rate at R16 to £1, visitors are offered superb value for money.
Commenting on the successful season, Tony Romer-Lee, GM Cape Grace, said:

“The figures reiterate Cape Grace’s position as the premier luxury hotel in Cape Town.  Our location near the retail and leisure area of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront and our outstanding levels of personal service, have added to our attraction to both UK and foreign visitors.  We are looking forward to further increases in bookings from the UK for the remainder of 2002, as Cape Town is seen as both a long weekend and year-round destination.”

Cape Grace have introduced the Celebrate Life long-weekend package which consists of five days, four nights from ZAR 13,120 (&#126£820) and offers guests the opportunity to choose from a range of activities, pampering experiences and a unique ‘African Gourmet’ experience.
The Balanced Lifestyle concept encourages guests to indulge in in-room
beauty treatments as well as several health-giving options, such as a day with a personal trainer or mountain-biking down Table Mountain.

Other activities and excursions (for example, a township tour, visits by helicopter to the winelands and Cape Peninsula, shark-diving etc.) can be arranged on request.
