Marriott Announce Residence Sale

WASHINGTON, D.C. - May 29, 2003 - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) today announced that it has sold the Residence Inn in Cypress, California to Apple Hospitality Five, Inc., for approximately $19 million in cash. Marriott International developed and will continue to operate the 155-room Cypress Residence Inn under a long-term management agreement.
