Marriott.com Breaks Bookings Record

Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announced that its web site, Marriott.com, set a single-day record in bookings this week. Marriott.com, generated more than 20,000 reservations on May 12-the highest since the site was launched in 1996.
On the record breaking day, Marriott.com visitors were most interested in the following cities:
1. Washington, DC 6. Boston, MA
2. New York, NY 7. San Diego, CA
3. Orlando, FL 8. Chicago, IL
4. Atlanta, GA 9. San Francisco, CA
5. Los Angeles, CA 10. Scottsdale, AZ

In 2002, Marriott.com generated more than $1 billion in gross sales in a single year, representing a nearly seven-fold increase over a two-year period. Reservations on Marriott.com can be made at more than 2,600 hotels worldwide.
