arlos Hotel, Inc. has appointed Christiaan Aldoy as its General Manager, as was announced today by Hy Arbesfeld, owner of San Carlos Hotel, Inc. and the new San Carlos Hotel scheduled to open in June 2003. Mr. Aldoy brings to one of Manhattan’s newest hotels an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the hospitality management business and a proven success record in the industry.
Mr. Aldoy will oversee several key aspects of the San Carlos Hotel’s construction phase, including the creation of employee manuals, projecting occupancy rates, monitoring expenditures, hiring and training hotel staff, and ensuring that all critical deadlines are met. Upon opening, Mr. Aldoy will be responsible for managing all aspects of the hotel’s day-to-day operations
Before joining the San Carlos Hotel, Mr. Aldoy was General Manager at the Club Quarters Hotel in Chicago. Hired out of New York to take on the critical role of managing the 300+ room hotel, Mr. Aldoy successfully presided over all phases of its construction and grand opening period.
Prior to his position at Club Quarters, Mr. Aldoy was Director of Operations for the Amsterdam Hospitality Group in New York, Director of Guest Services for the Algonquin Hotel in New York and Assistant Front Office Manager at the Paramount Hotel in New York.
