The WestCliff`s Belle Epoque Banquet

Taking a gilded leaf from their aristocratic European counterparts, society revellers in the know will be heading to a private estate and celebrating this coming New Year’s Eve in exclusive style at The Westcliff’s Belle Epoque Banquet.
A glamorous black-tie gala evening is on offer, so ladies (and gentlemen) are advised to polish their tiaras, don their finest evening wear and head for the most illustrious hill in Johannesburg to see in the New Year.  Although the paparazzi won’t be in evidence, the red-carpet and footmen will and this right-royal occasion will feature a stately banquet of fine international cuisine and noble wines.
Dinner will be served in La Belle Terrasse,  The Westcliff’s signature restaurant, where Ma”tre d’Hotel, Michael Nuechtern, will be holding court to the accompaniment of strolling minstrels, a court jester and other festive entertainment.
Dine like a king from a fine five course degustation menu, specially prepared by eminent Executive Chef Andrew Atkinson for this glittering occasion.  An entrée of Seared Salmon Fillet (served in a puff pastry case with asparagus spears, oyster mushrooms and a mustard and basil sauce), is followed by a Garlic Marinated Duck Salad, served with roasted vegetables, plum tomatoes, avocado and shaved Parmesan, napped by a sesame seed vinaigrette.  Clear the palate with a Crushed Pineapple and Coconut Sorbet before moving on to the main course which offers a choice of a Crown of Lamb (with an onion-herb crust, savoury potato cake, corn, pumpkin and a tarragon-scented jus) or Pan-Fried King Prawns with coriander flavoured rice, seasonal vegetables and lemon coconut cream. 
Enjoy a dessert of Gilded Coffee Brûlée Tart, accompanied by a white chocolate ginger sauce and a papino-kiwi salsa, before rounding off dinner with freshly brewed coffee and jewelled friandises.
This exclusive evening is priced at R3000 per couple, inclusive of dinner and accommodation in one of The Westcliff’s luxurious suites, complete with oversized marble bathrooms, deluxe bathing amenities and glorious views.

This evening is limited to adults over the age of eighteen.  Full pre-payment must be received by no later than December 20th .  Regretfully, cancellations after 20th December will be subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
