Wyndham International To Seek Buyer For Malmaison

Wyndham International, Inc (NYSE:WYN) announced today that it intends to sell its Malmaison hotel properties located in England and Scotland. Wyndham said it plans to continue to focus on its core branded hotel and resort operations, which are located primarily in the United States.
Malmaison currently has hotels in Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with hotels under construction in Birmingham and planned for London. Long considered the innovator in the development of lifestyle hotels, Malmaison was the U.K. hotel group of the year in 1999. The hotels feature 80-120 rooms each.
