Marriott International announces new partnerships with Cathay Pacific Airways and Singapore Airlines offering three different mileage earning opportunities. Now, the more than 1.7 million Marriott Miles members can earn 500 miles with Cathay Pacific`s Asia Miles or Singapore Airlines` KrisFlyer miles per visit to any Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites property worldwide.

As a special introductory bonus, Double Miles are awarded from March 15 through June 15, increasing the offer to 1,000 miles per stay. In addition, Marriott Miles participants earn 2,500 Bonus Miles after each five stays at Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites within a 12-month period. Members who complete five stays during the double mileage period will earn a total of 7,500 miles.

Guests who are not members of Marriott Miles may also earn Asia Miles or KrisFlyer miles and benefit from the Double Miles bonus by providing a frequent flyer program membership number during check-in at Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites or Renaissance Hotels and Resorts* worldwide. With more than 25 Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites and Renaissance Hotels and Resorts throughout Asia, the new partnerships are an added benefit to Marriott guests traveling around the region.

Cathay Pacific unveiled its new frequent flyer program, Asia Miles, in October 1998. Asia Miles will offer one of the most extensive range of air and non-air partners of any frequent flyer program in Asia. Members will be able to earn Asia Miles in all classes of travel and redeem miles for free travel to over 600 destinations worldwide. Partners include oneworld alliance members British Airways, American Airlines, Canadian Airlines and Qantas Airways, as well as Swissair and Japan Airlines. Non-air partners include top companies from the financial services, telecommunications and travel industries. Award redemption begins at 15,000 miles.

KrisFlyer is Singapore Airlines` new frequent flyer program for all classes. Membership is open to anyone 2 years of age and above. Singapore Airlines customers will earn KrisFlyer miles when they fly Economy, Business and First Class on Singapore Airlines or any KrisFlyer airline partner. KrisFlyer members will also earn miles when they stay, charge, call or drive with other renowned KrisFlyer partners. Free international round-trip awards redemption start from 15,000 miles. In addition, travelers have the added opportunity to receive higher recognition, extra benefits and privileges when they qualify for KrisFlyer elite status.

Launched in May 1993, Marriott Miles is the industry`s first frequent flyer program that rewards its membership with frequent flyer miles on any one of its 16 participating airlines. Miles are credited to the member`s preferred frequent flyer account with each stay at more than 350 Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites. Members are not required to fly to receive miles and there is no limit to mileage earned.
