Cendant Corporation`s Hotel Group today announced the appointment of Kathryn Pruett as director, travel industry sales.

Based in Atlanta, she will be responsible for promoting Cendant`s nine hotel brands to travel retailers and wholesalers nationwide.

Pruett, a travel industry veteran with 15 years` sales and marketing experience, previously worked for Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts in Atlanta in a variety of sales capacities including vice president sales, special markets. In that role she was responsible for managing the sales and administrative responsibilities of a specialized sales force that managed top accounts in the airline, leisure and incentive and travel management and consortia market segments. She began her career with British Airways in 1986 as an account manager.

Pruett earned her bachelor`s degree in political science in 1973 from West Georgia College in Carrollton, Ga.
