Six Continents PLC Appoints New Human Resources Director

Six Continents PLC, the world’s most global hotel company, announced today that James W. Larson has been appointed human resources director for the Group, and took up his appointment this month.


Larson reports directly to Tim Clarke, chief executive, Six Continents PLC and is based in London. He has HR responsibility for both Six Continents PLC and Six Continents Hotels.

Six Continents PLC is a leading global hospitality group with over 3,260 hotels across nearly 100 countries and territories and over 2,000 restaurants and bars in the UK and Germany.

Larson joins the Group from Kellogg Corporation, where he served in several roles culminating as vice president global human resources, and he was instrumental in reorganising the company following its acquisition of Keebler. Larson was responsible for the strategic realignment of the HR function and developing a new culture of performance and accountability.

Prior to Kellogg he held a number of senior positions in Fortune 500 companies including American Express, PepsiCo and Pfizer. Larson has a BSc Degree in Management and a Masters in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California.
