Ramada Opens Third Hotel in Italy

WASHINGTON - Aug. 28, 2002 - Ramada International Hotels & Resorts expanded its portfolio in Italy with the recent opening of the 82-room Ramada Fiera, the brand’s third hotel in Italy.

The Ramada Fiera is owned by Vegna S.R.L., which is controlled by the Fabbri Group. The Fabbri Group currently owns and manages seven three- and four-star hotels in Italy. These are located in resort destinations along the sea and in the mountains. In addition, the company has interests in a travel agency. The Ramada Fiera is the first internationally branded hotel in their portfolio. Biagio Fabbri is the general manager.

The Ramada Fiera is located in Verona, which was the setting of Shakespeare’s love story Romeo & Juliet, and is one of northern Italy’s most important economic centers. The hotel is located in front of Verona’s exhibition hall, within walking distance of the railway station and two kilometers from the center of the town and the famous Arena.
The hotel features a fitness facility, three conference rooms and 30 parking spaces. For dining and entertainment, guests may take advantage of the Oasis, which serves a light menu and carefully selected wine list.
