ATLANTA (April 22, 2002) - Six Continents Hotels, Inc. (www.sixcontinentshotels.com), the world’s leading hotel group, has named Isaac J. Collazo as its new vice president of operations strategy and planning.

Collazo’s hiring continues a string of key additions to Six Continents Hotels’ management team as the global hotel group works to continually strengthen top-line performance.

Reporting to Six Continents Hotels’ chief operating officer Steve Porter, Collazo will be involved in establishing divisional and company objectives, developing long-range and strategic plans, and creating industry-based performance benchmarks for the company.
“Isaac has worked with a number of hospitality companies researching their customers for more than ten years,” said Porter. “His wealth of knowledge will surely be an asset to Six Continents Hotels in enhancing the positioning of our brands.”

Most recently, Collazo was vice president of strategic brand knowledge with Marriott International where he led their guest satisfaction program and competitive analysis group. Prior to his four-year tenure at Marriott International, Collazo also served with Promus Hotel Corporation. His responsibilities there included the administration and management of market and customer tracking systems and the development and communication of strategic briefs. In addition, Collazo held several senior management positions with La Quinta Inns before joining Promus Hotel Corporation.

Collazo holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Radio, TV & Film from Trinity University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
