Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR) announced today that the new 347-room Bridgewater Marriott is scheduled to open April 2, 2002 in Bridgewater, N.J. Located at 700 Commons Way, this latest addition to the Marriott Hotels, Resorts and Suites portfolio is owned and managed by Marriott International of Washington, D.C. The hotel plans to employ more than 175 associates.

Ideal for both business and leisure travelers, the Bridgewater Marriott is centrally located in New Jersey, approximately 33 miles from Newark International Airport and within walking distance of the Bridgewater Commons Mall, local restaurants and movie theaters. The hotel is also in close proximity to several leading pharmaceutical companies, including Aventis, Johnson & Johnson, Pharmacia and Merck.
With 12 meeting rooms, guests will find ample space available to meet their business and social needs. For large-scale functions the hotel features an 8,549-square-foot Grand Ballroom, divisible into eight smaller rooms. Two additional meeting rooms and two executive boardrooms are also available for smaller gatherings. Technological capabilities include high-speed internet access in all meeting rooms and a fully equipped business center.

Guest rooms are elegantly appointed and feature pillowed mattresses, down comforters and feather pillows. Other amenities include two-line telephones, internet access, voice mail and data ports, cable television with pay-per-view movies, in-room coffee and tea service, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and work desk with ergonomic desk chair.

The Bridgewater Marriott’s restaurant, T-Bones - A Tuscan Steakhouse, features “family style” service for lunch and dinner, as well as a weekend Champagne Brunch. The Vineyard, a 30-seat, dining room attached to T-Bones, is available for private parties and offers specially created menus and wine-tastings. Located in the hotel lobby, Martini’s lounge features tableside martini and cocktail service and a roll-in sushi station in the afternoons. Room service is also available.

Recreational activities include an indoor pool, health club and whirlpool. Additional hotel features include Commons Corner, a lobby store offering sundries, local gift items and Starbucks Coffee.
