Northwest Airlines announced today a new online membership program called, nwa.com Club that offers some of the best travel discounts (valued at up to $1,500) available through Northwest and its select partners. Enrollment at nwa.com is available for a short time and membership is limited. Northwest is the first airline to offer such a club.

“nwa.com Club will make it even easier for customers to use nwa.com to take advantage of special unique offers for a small annual fee,” said Al Lenza, Northwest vice president distribution planning. “In addition, our special online offers will expand continuously to meet our customers ever-changing travel needs.”

A discounted annual membership fee of $20 is available through April 21, 2000. After the introductory period, the membership cost will be $35 per person/membership. Enrollment is open through June 30, 2000. Membership is valid for one year.

Also, Members who register by June 30, 2000 are automatically entered into the nwa.com Club random drawing for a chance to win one pair of domestic, Coach Class tickets on Northwest Airlines. Five pairs of domestic, Coach Class tickets will be given away. There is a limit of one entry per person/membership and no membership purchase is necessary.

As a nwa.com Club member, customers will receive the following travel-related discounts that can only be redeemed online.

Northwest Airlines/KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Dollars Off E-Cert*
Members will save up to $300 on their next two Northwest Airlines or KLM flights. (Valid for travel within the 50 U.S. or from the 50 U.S. to Canada or select International destinations.)

Northwest Airlines Quarterly CyberSavers E-Cert*
Members can take advantage of the special member fare for Northwest’s featured quarterly destinations (e.g.: Boston for a great low CyberSaver fare)

Members can save 2,000 miles on their next two WorldPerks Award trips.
Northwest Airlines Cash & Miles E-Cert*
Members can enjoy Northwest’s special offer on airfares as low as $108 and 10,000 WorldPerks miles roundtrip.

Members can join Northwest’s WorldClubs and the $75 initiation fee will be waived.
