WSSD Delegates Encouraged to Book Tours Online

DELEGATES at the World Summit who wish to experience the essence of South and Southern Africa through various day tours of the host city, Johannesburg and on longer pre-and-post tours of the region should log onto www.wssdtravel.com
.

The site was developed by IT services company, NU-COM Systems and commissioned by Johannesburg World Summit Company`s tour co-ordinating company, Lefase.

The site allows users access to a full range of services including package tours, tailor-made and special interest tours, day tours, car hire and flight reservations. The site is fully interactive and once a booking request is placed it is actioned by a consultant via on-line menu options until payment cycle is finalised via the site.
The site will remain active until December 2002 offering sustainable marketing of the Southern African region and maximising the economic benefits of the summit. It will then be converted to a tourism reference site for travel and tour operators.
At the conclusion of the WSSD in September, the content of the site will be modified to address the needs of a wider audience and will include a powerful shopping portal.
