nPorta Continues to Expand Client Base

2nd Aug 2002

Travel technology provider nPorta has added two more travel agencies to a network of sites powered by its TravelASP
booking engine.

Accent Travel of Baton Rouge, LA and Town Travel of Acworth, GA, full-service online and traditional travel agencies, chose nPorta`s website development and online booking engine technology services to provide enhanced web offerings and real- time booking capability to their clients.

“As the airlines and rental car companies have been recently cutting their commissions, agencies have had no choice but to implement and often raise their service fees to both corporate clients as well as consumers. As a result, agencies are looking for an online booking solution to provide their clients a technology solution comparable to that offered by the online travel giants, thereby helping to lower their overhead and offer reduced service fees to corporate and leisure travelers who choose to book online. Providing them the necessary tools and web presence assures agencies will maintain control of their business, while allowing their clients the option to still take advantage of traditional services and support when needed,” states Susan Moore, nPorta`s Chief Operating Officer.

What makes the service unique is that nPorta
can use its tools and technology to develop for retail travel agents, corporate travel agencies and consolidators, a fully customizable web presence. These “private label” web sites are powered by nPorta`s TravelASP product, utilizing WORLDSPAN`s XML-Pro technology. This technology offers any type or sized agency as well as other travel-related websites the ability to compete with major companies such as
by offering both lower fares and booking engine technology through easily used web interfaces.

Another distinctive feature of nPorta`s software application is that it offers clients marketing and site administration tools to facilitate posting and editing of content and graphics, manage their database, send emails, post news and articles as well as monitor site usage and bookings.
