As an additional incentive, priceline.com announced today a special, limited-time airline tickets promotion for travelers who fly to a priceline.com featured city any time this summer. Cities include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington, DC. Priceline.com will automatically add $15 per ticket to any purchase offer made between now and June 30, 2002, for a 4th of July holiday or other summer trip.
For the best chance to save, priceline.com suggests that travelers make their purchases as soon as possible and pick travel days when the airports are less crowded. The good news is that travelers can save money even on peak travel days (July 4 and 7), but customers should plan on increasing their offer prices on those two days as fares will be more expensive.
