Offers Travel Deals for 4th Of July Celebrations

The countdown is already underway as major cities across the country prepare for the 4th of July. For many, the celebrations promise to be an especially dramatic display of red, white and blue patriotism, complete with fireworks, bands, top-name entertainers and plenty of great food.
(Nasdaq: PCLN) said today that, in cooperation with its over 30 major carriers, 8,000 hotel partners and 5 major rental car partners, it has airline tickets, hotel rooms, rental cars and even full vacation packages available on a Name Your Own Pricesm basis for all of the major 4th of July celebration cities. Travelers who book airline tickets and hotel rooms through can save up to 40 percent or more over published retail rates. Those who book rental cars through can save up to 20 percent over retail.

As an additional incentive, announced today a special, limited-time airline tickets promotion for travelers who fly to a featured city any time this summer. Cities include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and Washington, DC. will automatically add $15 per ticket to any purchase offer made between now and June 30, 2002, for a 4th of July holiday or other summer trip.
For the best chance to save, suggests that travelers make their purchases as soon as possible and pick travel days when the airports are less crowded. The good news is that travelers can save money even on peak travel days (July 4 and 7), but customers should plan on increasing their offer prices on those two days as fares will be more expensive.
