Delta SkyRewards Offers Bonus Miles

Delta Air Lines announced today that its SkyRewards mileage sales program
is offering 5,000 bonus miles for first-time purchasers through March 15,
2004. The SkyRewards program offers companies and organizations the
opportunity to purchase miles at delta.com/skyrewards to use as incentives
and rewards for customers and employees.

To earn the 5,000 bonus miles, the first-time purchaser must enter SRBONUS
in the promotion code field.

“We want to encourage large and small businesses to purchase miles to see
how the program can help increase productivity and sales volume,” said
Christine Pierce, Delta`s director of Partnership Marketing. “Delta miles
are attractive because they are a low-cost, high-value incentive, have
universal appeal to customers and employees and are a powerful way to
acquire, activate and retain customers.”

Since January 2003, participants purchasing Delta miles for employee
incentives have increased nearly twice as fast as participants purchasing
miles for customer rewards or promotions. Also, approximately 80 percent
of customers use the miles as an ongoing program with customers and
employees.
“Delta`s mileage purchase program makes it possible for a company of any
size to partner with Delta,” continued Pierce. “Approximately 75 percent
of companies purchasing miles for employee incentives have less than 100
employees.”
Companies and organizations may purchase and award miles through the
SkyRewards program in any amount more than 60,000 for $0.022 per mile,
plus 7.5 percent Federal Excise Tax and a $75 one-time processing fee.
Canadian residents are subject to an additional 7 percent GST. The company
does not need to know the recipient`s SkyMiles(R) account number to award
the miles.

Individuals may purchase miles for themselves or as gifts for others in
increments of 1,000 miles at delta.com/buymiles.
