Eberwein to Join America West as Vice President, Corporate Communications

PHOENIX, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/—America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) announced today that Elise Eberwein will join the company as its vice president, corporate communications effective Sept. 22, 2003. Eberwein will be responsible for overseeing the company`s media relations and employee communications.

Eberwein has more than 17 years combined airline experience, most recently with Frontier Airlines where she spent five years leading that company`s media relations, employee communications, customer relations, community relations and government affairs activities. She holds an executive masters degree in business administration from Colorado State University as well as a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications.
