US Airways Offers Fall Sale Fares

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 11, 2003—US Airways is offering low sale fares for travel this fall to select destinations throughout its network in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean and Latin America.

Under this sale, tickets for travel in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Mexico is valid Aug. 25-Dec. 16, 2003. Travel for Europe is valid Sept. 12-Oct. 31, 2003. Tickets for European, Caribbean and Mexico travel must be purchased by Aug. 17, 2003.

“As the peak summer travel season comes to a close, now can be the best time for a relaxing vacation, while the weather is still warm and the crowds are smaller,” said Andrew P. Nocella, US Airways vice president of pricing and revenue management.

Fares are based on required roundtrip coach travel. Depending upon travel needs, alternative routings may be available at the same fares, with part of the service on regional aircraft operated by US Airways Express carriers Allegheny, Air Midwest, Chautauqua, Colgan, Mesa, Midway, Piedmont, PSA, Shuttle America or Trans States. Depending on the itinerary, some or all flight segments may beoperated by United Airlines®.

Tickets become nonrefundable 24 hours after making initial reservation, and under certain conditionsmay be changed prior to the departure of each flight segment for a minimum $100 fee ($200 for Europe). If changes are not made prior to midnight of the departure date of each flight, the entire remaining ticket will have no further value.

For U.S. and Canada travel, the lowest fares are valid for travel noon Mondays through 11:59 AM Thursdays and noon through 11:59 PM Saturdays. The lowest fares for Florida travel are valid to Florida Sundays through Wednesdays and from Florida Tuesdays through Fridays. A Saturday night minimum stay is required and a 30-day maximum stay allowed.

Tickets for Caribbean and Mexico travel must be purchased within 24 hours of making the initial reservation and require a 14-day advance purchase. A three-day minimum stay is required, and a 30-day maximum stay is allowed. The lowest fares are available for travel Monday-Thursday. Travel is not valid Aug. 29, Sept. 1, Nov. 26 and 30, and Dec. 1, 2003.

Europe tickets must be purchased within three days of making the initial reservation and require a 21-day advance purchase. A Sunday-night stay is required, and a 30-day maximum stay is allowed. The lowest fares are available for travel Mondays-Thursdays.

For all destinations, except Europe, travel is not valid Aug. 29, Sept. 1, Nov. 26 and 30, and Dec. 1, 2003.

These sale fares do not include up to $18 airport passenger facility charges where applicable and do not include the September 11 Security Fee of up to $10 per itinerary. However, this Security Fee will not apply for tickets purchased between June 1 and Sept. 30, 2003. Fares do not include a federal excise tax of $3, which will be added on each flight segment of each itinerary. A flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Fares to Canada do not include a federal immigration fee of $7 per roundtrip, airport fees of $6.50 per roundtrip and Canada Air Traveler Security charge of $8 per roundtrip. Fares do not include government-imposed international taxes, fees and surcharges of up to $88 for Europe or up to $77 for the Caribbean and Mexico. Seats are limited and may not be available during other very busy travel times.

These sale fares may not available in every market or on all flights. Other conditions may apply. These discount fares may not always be lower than other US Airways fares to select destinations.
