ATA Honest Growth, Coast to Coast

INDIANAPOLIS—(BUSINESS WIRE)—July 28, 2003—ATA (ATA Airlines, Inc.),(Nasdaq:ATAH) is giving Indianapolis travelers more value and convenient access to key destinations. While many airlines are cutting capacity and limiting passenger choice, ATA today announced plans to increase service to some of its most popular destinations, including Ft. Myers, Fla., Sarasota, Fla. and Las Vegas. The carrier will also launch new service from Indianapolis to Honolulu on Nov. 20, 2003 and to Miami beginning Dec. 20, 2003. Tickets to these two new destinations are available today.
“Today`s announcement highlights the competitive edge ATA continues to demonstrate nationwide,” said John Happ, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales. “Our Indianapolis load factors have risen more than seven points this summer, while we`ve been significantly expanding our capacity.”
For the Indianapolis traveler, ATA continues to offer the low-fare advantage. ATA fares from Indianapolis to Honolulu will begin as low as $271(a), off-peak, each way, based on a round-trip purchase. To fly from Indianapolis to Miami, tickets will begin as low as $90(a), off-peak, each way, based on a round-trip purchase. ATA`s fare structure never includes hidden gimmicks or extras. There are no minimum stay requirements, and no passenger ever pays more than $299(a) for a one-way domestic fare - anywhere in the continental U.S.
The addition of nonstop service to Miami from Indianapolis means ATA has now fully covered the Florida market. By December, ATA will offer 62 weekly nonstops to the Sunshine state from Indianapolis—offering more capacity than all other airlines combined. Passengers can fly direct to Honolulu, without any of the hassles associated with making additional connections or changing planes.
Beyond these two key additions, ATA is increasing service in September to Las Vegas, in November to Sarasota, Fla. and in December to Ft. Myers, Fla. Business travelers will particularly appreciate ATA`s doubling of jet service to Chicago in December, providing a comfortable morning and afternoon choice for hectic business schedules.
The Indianapolis expansion of ATA`s service is one aspect of coast-to-coast growth nationwide. ATA is also announcing expanded schedules and service from Chicago-Midway, San Francisco and Newark.
