Delta Appoints Isabel Parra in Venezuela

CARACAS, June 26, 2003—Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced the appointment of Isabel Parra to the position of district sales manager in Caracas, Venezuela.


Parra will be responsible for the creation and execution of sales strategies that maintain and improve Delta’s revenues in Venezuela. Her primary functions include local city and in-country coordination of corporate and agency sales strategies and tactics that maximize revenue opportunities. Parra will oversee the Caracas District Sales Office, and will report directly to Christophe Didier, regional manager of Sales for South America.


In making the announcement, Jacque Brown, regional director of Sales for Latin America & the Caribbean, said, “Isabel brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the airline industry and specifically the Caracas market, and will be a great addition to our Delta Sales team in this very important market”.


Parra began her airline career with Pan American World Airways in 1991 as a Reservation Agent. In 1992, she joined United Airlines as a Customer Service Representative at the Caracas airport. She later moved to United’s Sales department in 1995 as a Sales Representative, and then in 1998 was promoted to Sales and Reservation Manager for the United Airlines Caracas office.

Born in Venezuela, Parra holds a degree in Tourism from the Instituto Universitario Nuevas Profesiones in Caracas. She speaks English and Spanish fluently.
