bmi Tops Holiday Which?

bmi services from Manchester to the USA have come out on top in the latest findings of Holiday Which? magazine`s listings of airlines serving the United States. bmi has toppled Virgin Atlantic, as well as other transatlantic carriers such as British Airways and American Airlines to take the top spot.Ê The magazine reports that when asked “would you recommend this airline to a friend?” over half of all respondents travelling bmi transatlantic said they`d definitely recommend flying bmi.Ê In fact, all would definitely or probably recommend travelling transatlantic with bmi, with no negative comments recorded.

Austin Reid, chief executive officer for bmi commented:
“We have always been confident that our staff are providing our customers with an exceptional level of service and are delivering products that outshine our competitors. This survey and its results, together with the recent findings of the five star rating given by Business Traveller magazine, clearly provide the evidence that our award winning success on domestic and European routes now extends into our transatlantic offering.

“It is somewhat perverse that because of restrictive government agreements that limit competition to the USA from Heathrow, the much larger transatlantic market from Heathrow continues to be denied the clear benefits to be had from competitive bmi services.”
