US Airways Charlotte - Turks And Caicos Service

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 1, 2002—US Airways begins four weekly nonstop flights on Saturday between its Charlotte hub and the Caribbean island of Providenciales, located in the western part of the Turks and Caicos Islands.


The new flights will operate between Charlotte and Providenciales each Saturday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, using Airbus A319 aircraft. From Charlotte, the flight will depart at 10:30 a.m., and will arrive in Providenciales at 1:22 p.m. Return flights will depart Providenciales at 3:30 p.m. and will arrive in Charlotte at 6:12 p.m.


The new route expands service between Charlotte and the Caribbean to 12 destinations, and increases US Airways` overall Caribbean network to 17 jet destinations. Additional Caribbean points are served by the US Airways Express carriers.


“This new route will enhance the range and choice of Caribbean destinations for travelers originating and connecting through US Airways` Charlotte hub,” said Douglas Leo, US Airways vice president, international. “The Turks and Caicos Islands are a popular destination, especially from the Northeast, and we are delighted to launch this new service.”
