Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) today put “the world” on sale with special fares for customers travelling within the United States and from the U.S. to any global Delta destination in Canada, Europe, India, Japan, Latin America and the Caribbean. Tickets are on sale at the special fares through Oct. 21, 2002.

Travel within the U.S. and between the U.S. and Canada requires a 14-day advance purchase and must be completed by Jan. 4, 2003

Travel from the U.S. to Latin America, Japan and the Caribbean requires a three-day advance purchase and must be completed by Jan. 4, 2003. (Travel from the U.S. to Turks and Caicos and St. Maarten must commence on or after Dec. 1, 2002.)

Travel from the U.S. to India and Europe requires a seven-day advance purchase and must take place between Nov. 1 through Dec. 12, 2002 and Dec. 25, 2002 through March 8, 2003 (Except Great Britain where travel must take place between Oct. 21 through Dec. 17, 2002 and Dec. 24, 2002 through March 5, 2003 and must be completed by Mar. 15, 2003.)

Other important travel restrictions apply, including blackout dates, minimum and maximum stay, and day-of-week travel, etc.
