Vanguard Airlines Selects RTS For Revenue Management Partner

Kansas City, Mo.—Vanguard Airlines, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VNGD) today announced that it has selected Revenue Technology Services Corporation (RTS) as its partner for revenue management solutions. Installation of the automated program is underway at Vanguard`s corporate offices.

“The RTS implementation marks the last phase of rebuilding Vanguard`s distribution system—a phase that commenced with the transition to Sabre last year,” said Scott Dickson, President and Chief Executive Officer for Vanguard Airlines. “We have already seen substantial sales and revenue improvements from this rebuilding and look forward to reaping increased revenue benefits as the systems become fully productive.”

RTS is providing Vanguard with OPTIX? version 4, the latest technology available in forecasting and inventory optimizing. With OPTIX 4, Vanguard Airlines gains a fast, reliable system with excellent forecasting accuracy and optimal authorization levels to capture additional revenue opportunities. The implementation, including programming of an interface to the Company`s inventory system and training of revenue management analysts, is expected to be completed by June 1.

“We are pleased to have RTS working with us during this phase of our company`s growth,” said Nick Wangler, Manager of Pricing and Revenue Management for Vanguard Airlines. “With the OPTIX? system, RTS is the right partner to provide compatibility with our host reservations system, a track record of reliability, and state-of-the-art functionality-all of which were criteria in our selection process. RTS is sensibly designed and priced for a growing, mid-sized carrier like Vanguard. The demand data that will be provided at the class level will open windows of opportunities to achieve company goals of increased revenue and profitability.”

“Our highly flexible and user-friendly revenue management solution allows us to complete installation and have the system up and running in minimum time,” said Elaine Fat, RTS Director of Business Development. “We can have OPTIX? in place and delivering reliable forecasts and optimization recommendations in just four months. Vanguard wanted a rapid implementation and our proven track record of smooth implementations and proven revenue results convinced them, that we were able to meet their demanding implementation schedule and goals for improving their revenues.”

“Vanguard Airlines` decision to implement the OPTIX? solution from RTS demonstrates the continued importance of revenue management in the airline industry,” added Jesper Just, RTS Vice President. “Revenue management systems are often said to be the difference between being in business or not - this is even more true in recessive times like these.”
