Vanguard Airlines Reports A 24% Increase In February Traffic

Kansas City, MO—Vanguard Airlines, Inc. (NasdaqSC: VNGD) reported that for the month of February 2000 traffic increased 24% to approximately 69.8 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in February 2000 from approximately 56.4 million in February 1999. Capacity increased 33% to approximately 106.0 million available seat miles (ASMs) in February 2000 versus 80.0 million in February 1999. Load factor decreased approximately five points to 65.8% in February 2000 from approximately 70.6% in February 1999.


Year-to-date RPMs increased 23% to approximately 134.9 million in 2000 from approximately 109.8 million in 1999. Year-to-date ASMs increased 34% to approximately 214.4 million in 2000 from approximately 159.9 million in 1999. Year-to-date load factor decreased approximately six points to 62.9% in 2000 from 68.6% in 1999.
