Delta.com Customers Earn Checking in Online

Delta Air Lines’ (NYSE: DAL) customers now can earn 1,000 Bonus Miles by checking in at delta.com and printing their boarding passes from work or home. This one-time bonus is available to SkyMiles members through Dec. 31, 2002.

“Customers find delta.com’s Online Check-In easy-to-use from work or home, and all they need is Internet access and a printer,” said Steve Scheper, Delta’s managing director of e-Business, Business-to-Consumer. “The 1,000-mile bonus provides an added incentive for customers to try this time-saving option.”

Online Check-In through delta.com is available for all U.S.-operated Delta, Delta Connection and Delta Express flights between six hours and 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

SkyMiles members using e-tickets can enjoy the fastest way through the airport by checking in through delta.com and printing a boarding pass from their computer. Upon arrival at the airport, customers can bypass ticket counter lines and proceed directly to security with their photo identification and e-ticket itinerary or printed boarding pass.

Delta.com puts customers in control with services and information that increase convenience and efficiency in their travel experience - from desktop to destination. Ranked No. 1 in every category including customer preference and frequency of use in the Spring 2002 U.S. Airlines Competitive Summary, delta.com offers customers purchasing and air travel management services, the lowest fares and critical travel information. At the site, customers can choose or change a seat assignment, view estimated airport wait times, and sign-up to receive flight status notifications via email or mobile device. SkyMiles members can also check in, print boarding passes, manage their SkyMiles account, and redeem frequent flier miles.
