easyJet Appoints John Quelch As Non-Executive Director

easyJet has today appointed Professor John Quelch, the Dean of the London Business School, as a non-executive board director.


In addition to his role at the London Business School, John is a Professor of London University; he was previously the Sebastian S. Kresge Professor of Marketing and Co-Chair of the Marketing Area at Harvard Business School. He is a specialist on global business practice, international marketing and human resource management; and is the author or co-author of 12 books.


John also serves as a non-executive director of the WPP Group plc, Blue Circle Industries plc and was a founding non-executive director of Reebok International Ltd.


Professor Quelch`s appointment, which will become effective on 14 November, is a further strengthening of the easyJet Board, following the appointment of two other independent non-executive directors, Tony Illsley and Colin Day, in September.


easyJet is currently seeking a fourth independent non-executive director.
