Crossair Reinforces Its Financial Sector

For the build-up of a national airline, Crossair needs the best available brains. The company has engaged a competent financial expert as a consultant - Bernd Wolff, former Deputy to Roche Financial Officer Henri B. Maier,who then took over as CFO a.i. when the latter retired in May 2001


With build up of additional capacity comparable with two thirds of former Swissair, Crossair has to strengthen a number of Departments in the Administration, including the financial sector. With Bernd Wolff, Crossair has succeeded in engaging an exceptional personality. . “With Bernd Wolff we are gaining invaluable support in the rapid build-up of our company”, says CFO Thomas Hofmann.

After initial banking studies at Deutsche Bank, Bernd Wolff studied at St. Gallen University and then, in 1973, was responsible for Controlling at the former Ciba-Geigy. After a period of activity in the Far East, he transferred to Hoffmann-La Roche Indonesia as Financial Manager. In 1980 he came to the Headquarters in Basel, where he was Manager for Financing and Controlling within the Company finance Department. From 1991 onwards, he was member of the Corporate Finance Board in the Roche Group and from 1999 onwards, Group Treasurer, amongst other responsibilities. Since early November 2001, Wolff has acted as an independent company consultant with various mandates in the financial sector.
