During the Alitalia Board of Directors meeting to be held tomorrow June 22, the first draft of an outline Business Plan will be discussed. The economic and financial implications of this plan will have to be carefully evaluated through a lengthy process which will be completed after the summer, as already announced by the Chief Executive Officer at the recent shareholders` meeting.

At the same time, the Board will examine the prospects which are now developing of commercial alliances on a global scale.

As announced by the Chief Executive Officer at the shareholders` meeting, it is foreseen that such alliances will be defined during the summer.

Therefore, rumours are premature regarding the possible outcome of negotiations which are at present underway with Air France and Delta.

However, such rumours refer to factors (such as the four-year duration, the focus on relations between Italy and France, etc.) which are clearly under discussion.
