Aer Lingus was voted Best Airline-Ireland/Europe (including UK) and Best Airline Ireland/Transatlantic in a poll by the country’s 450 travel agencies last night. The awards are based on the quality of service given in the Irish Market both to the leisure and business traveller and were sponsored by Irish Travel Trade News.

The prestigious awards were presented to Aer Lingus Group Chief Executive, Garry Cullen by Minister for Public Enterprise Mary O’Rourke T.D at a gala banquet in Jury’s Hotel Dublin last night. Mr Cullen said Aer Lingus was delighted to receive the recognition by peer groups in the industry. “The airline was determined to continue to improve the quality of service and levels of reliability which have helped secure these awards today”, he added.
This recent success follows last week’s four awards from the Air Transport Users’ Council of the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland when the airline was voted ‘Airline of the Year’, Best Transatlantic, Best London and Best UK carrier by Ireland’s business community.
