Cathay Pacific Welcomes Extension Of Airport Charges Reduction

Cathay Pacific Airways today welcomed the Airport Authority`s decision to extend its current 15 percent reduction in airport landing and parking charges at Hong Kong International Airport. The reduction will continue for a further six months to 30 September 2002.

Cathay Pacific`s Director and Chief Operating Officer Philip Chen said: “We welcome the Airport Authority’s decision as this will increase Hong Kong International Airport`s competitiveness. We are committed to working with the Airport Authority to enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong, and continue to explore further ways to achieve this aim.”
