Aer Lingus Strike Affects Some `BA` Flights

British Airways’ alliance partner Aer Lingus has announced that none of its flights will be operating on Tuesday (Oct 17) because of industrial action by a union representing some of its employees.

As some Aer Lingus services across the Irish Sea also operate with a “BA” flight code, under the two airlines’ code-sharing agreement, this means that some passengers expecting to fly between the Irish Republic and the UK on a “BA” ticket will face disruption.

Irish flights operating by British Airways and its franchises and subsidiaries to and from London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham and other UK regional airports should NOT be affected.

Passengers wishing to check their travel arrangements should ring British Airways on 0845 77 333 77 in the UK or, in Ireland, on 1 800 626 747. Telephone contact numbers for Aer Lingus are 1 800 40 40 00 in Ireland and 0845 779 9977 in the UK.
