Wedgwood Wins First

British Airways has awarded a £1 million contract to Wedgwood to supply new tableware for its First class service.

The Stoke-on-Trent based prestige ceramics and giftware company will provide thousands of fine bone china items of crockery as part of a 12-piece collection which will be introduced early next year.
For the first time the collection will include a large main meal plate - just like a normal home dinner service.

London-based designer Kelly Hoppen is working with British Airways on the new First cabin service which is expected to take off in the autumn. It is part of the airline’s biggest ever investment programme in products and services.

The Wedgwood collection will include cups and saucers, a range of plates, egg cups, bowls, butter dishes and dipping pots.
