FORT WORTH, Texas - American Eagle Airlines reported its systemwide traffic in May increased 2.5 percent from a year ago, on a capacity decrease of 5.8 percent. The system load factor was 65 percent, up 5.2 points from May 2001.

American Eagle boarded more than 1 million passengers in May, down 8.6 percent from May a year ago.
