Lufthansa and LOT with Joint Flights Between Germany and Poland

1 June is the date: Lufthansa and LOT will then begin to jointly operate all flights between Germany and Poland, which have previously been serviced by both airlines.
The Code-Share Agreement is part of a comprehensive cooperation between the two companies. In April this year, the agreement was signed by Jan Litwinski, President of LOT Polish Airlines, and Jürgen Weber. The agreement will apply to flights on twelve routes between the neighboring countries.
From June onwards, passengers will be able to book flights of both airlines, under both Lufthansa and LOT flight numbers. The airlines offer their passengers the following direct connections: from Warsaw to Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Munich; from Gdañsk to Frankfurt and Hamburg; from Katowice to Frankfurt and Düsseldorf; from Kraków to Frankfurt ; from Poznañ to Düsseldorf as well as from Wroclaw to Frankfurt.

The implementation of the Code-Share Agreement is the first step for LOT towards admission to the Star Alliance. Lufthansa is supporting the Polish airline in the adaptation of its systems and standards to those of the Alliance. Following approval of the admission of LOT to the Star Alliance by the Chief Executive Board, new attractive offers will be created for passengers. The Polish market will gain access to a worldwide network of flight connections, customer loyalty programs, ultra-modern sales networks as well as to a comprehensive service for passengers who travel all over the world within the network of the Alliance. For Star Alliance passengers, their travel opportunities will be improved as a result of the integrated timetables in Central and Eastern Europe.
