Aer Lingus Chief Executive, Willie Walsh, recently announced the appointment of Brian Dunne (35) as the Company`s Chief Financial Officer. Brian, who has been acting as CFO since October 2001, takes up the position effective immediately.
Brian is a chartered accountant and a business consultant and has been a partner in Andersen since 1998. He has broad financial and commercial experience and worked closely with Aer Lingus on a range of projects in the early and mid 1990s.

Announcing the appointment, Willie Walsh said, “We are delighted that Brian is joining Aer Lingus as Chief Financial Officer. Brian has made a major contribution in the past six months in a number of areas of the business and in particular in helping to stabilise the Company`s financial position. His experience will be very important to us as we move beyond the Survival Plan and continue the change process in the airline to ensure the future profitability of the business”.
