Over 70,000 business and leisure travellers have now travelled between Newcastle and London Stansted in the three months since launch - and over 60% of these flights were bought at Go`s lowest fares.
Go has stimulated huge business demand in the North East with hundreds of passengers a month travelling on business. Leisure passengers are also taking advantage of low European fares and are flying on to destinations such as Barcelona, Malaga and Bilbao.
David Magliano, sales and marketing director at Go, says: `People in the North East have been quick to take advantage of Go`s low fares and leave the hassle of the trains behind. In addition to business trips and weekends in London, so many people have benefited from Stansted`s wide range of European destinations.`
There are now three flights a day between Newcastle and London Stansted and fares start from just £30 return, including taxes, compared with the cheapest open return by train of £160, saving you time as well as money.
