Consumers have contradicted skepticism about sluggish summer travel bookings, buying record numbers of last minute weekend packages for Memorial Day Weekend 2002.

Site59 experienced record sales numbers for Memorial Day Weekend, 2002, through both its b2c site, as well as through its dozens of distribution partners, showing a 700% growth from Memorial Day Weekend 2001.

Over 84% of Site59 travelers book within 7 days of traveling, compared to 77% in Spring of 2001.
