Doral Delivers Multi-level Distribution System

Doral Conference Centers, Hotels & Resorts, a division of MeriStar Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: MMH), has announced the launch of a new multi-level property distribution system to make bookings easier, faster and more convenient for travel agents, meeting planners and business and leisure travelers.
The announcement was made at a special Doral Showcase held at the Doral Park Avenue Hotel.
“There currently are five Doral-branded properties, including the Doral Eaglewood Conference Resort & Spa in suburban Chicago, which is scheduled to reopen this fall following a $72 million renovation,” said Hoyt Bacon, MeriStar`s chief marketing officer. “The five properties allow us to support the most sophisticated booking systems. As we expand the Doral brand, those new properties will immediately be added to the system.”

Travel agents now will be able to book Doral properties under the code “DL” through all of the GDS systems, including Sabre, Galileo, Worldspan and Amadeus. “Travel agents are an important source of business for our conference centers and resorts, and we will continue to seek ways to improve their productivity and ease of booking,” said Bacon. He noted that Doral will continue to pay a 10 percent commission to travel agents.
